• JewishEyes InLook™
• JewishEyes InPut™
• JewishEyes InSider™ Newsletter
• Learning Resources - Audio and Video
There is an urgent need to expand our digital editing / producing operations and to upgrade older equipment with newer, more efficient and speedier models. Our office finds that Macintosh computers running OSX are by far the most versatile for our digital video processing and creative needs. We currently have a need for 4 new macs which have high end graphics cards and good RAM and processing speeds.
• Equipping Pastors to see with JewishEyes
Recognizing that the emphasis of most seminaries is to spend the vast majority of teaching time training future pastors in the New Testament, JewishEyes.org creates an inseparable link between New and Old, providing a basis for understanding both in a new, yet very ancient way.
• Israel Learning Tours
Even if you've taken other tours to Israel in the past, you won't find one like this. Your host is an orthodox rabbinically trained scholar who understands how to link the ideas found in the New Testament with the writings of the Jewish sages, finding harmony between them both. Doing so in the Land of Israel provides an unparalleled backdrop to learn some Hebrew and study in a way that you cannot manage anywhere else on earth. Find out why the Geography, History, Culture, Traditions and Language of the Jewish people are all necessary to understand if you are going to have a correct view of G-d, Israel, the world and your place in time.
• Assisting Victims of Terrorism and the Adopt-a-Family Program™
JewishEyes.org sends money to Israel every week to assist selected families in need. We do not choose qualifying families for these programs on the basis of their philosophical or theological agreement with us. The only criteria that we use to assist the Jewish people are that they are Jewish, that they are in real need, and that we have personally verified every aspect of their stories and their current living arrangements. G-d did not say that He would bless those who blessed those descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who believe a certain way. Y'shua said that he would judge the nations of the earth by how they treated "the least of these my brethren" and would reckon it as treatment to himself.
Some examples of those we assist:
The Dovid and Ora Cohen Family: This dear family of observant Jewish descendants of Aaron, Israel's first High Priest, was simply riding on a bus after (praying at the Western Wall) on their way to their home across Jerusalem, when a suicide bomber blew himself up on their bus, killing most of the passengers. Miraculously, their entire family survived, but not unscathed. Injured and separated from each other by the blast, the lives of these seven precious people became a living nightmare... Forever changed by the severity of their injuries and unable to pay their skyrocketing medical costs with limited government help, they go on living, but their quality of life is far below most people's. They need to continue painful surgeries and therapies to correct severe damage to eyes, backs, ears... the list goes on. Their five children were 1 month to 7 years old. (Know anybody you love who is that age?) We met them by G-d's design while in Jerusalem during Passover in 2004. After getting to know them, we learned of all they had gone through. They never asked us for money... they do call us regularly to thank us, but have never asked for our assistance. We have had to find out their needs by other sources. All donations to JewishEyes.org which are meant to go to this family will be designated: "The Dovid and Ora Cohen Family"
We send the entire amount that you give. No administrative costs are deducted.
The Moshe and Marguelite Cohen Family: This observant family of seven (also descended from Aaron, brother of Moses) lives in Immanuel, a community about 2 hours bus ride from Jerusalem. Moshe is an attendant and maintenance employee at the community's Mikvah (a ritual cleansing building). Moshe is also responsible for encouraging other Jews to come back to and be faithful to the G-d of Israel. He has been known and loved by the staff at JewishEyes.org since he lived in Canada (before making aliyah to Israel) and is very unselfish... giving sacrificially to others in loving and patient way. He has in many ways been responsible for the biblical observance of several of the JewishEyes staff. He prays regularly for his family and is concerned for his widowed mother in Canada. Making a living is difficult in Israel because of the high cost of living, largely because Israel must spend so much to defend themselves to ensure their survival. This family struggles to earn a living and can use your loving support. All donations to JewishEyes.org which are meant to go to this family will be designated: "The Moshe and Marguelite Cohen Family"
The David and Leah Ortiz Family: David and Leah Ortiz and their six children live in the picturesque, central Israeli West Bank community of Ariel, a controversial city slated to be handed over in order to implement the false "Road Map to Peace" by demands from radical Hamas and Fatah Islamic leaders. An attractive Purim gift basket of fruit and sweets was delivered to the Ortiz' home and left on their front porch. Seeking to sample the tasty morsels visible under the cellophane liner, David and Leah's youngest child, 15 year old Amiel, opened the basket only to be met by a violent explosion of fire and jagged shrapnel, which tore through the flesh of his head, limbs and young body. Upon arriving at the hospital, David and Leah were in deep shock to see the extensive injuries their dear son had suffered. Through eight hours of critical life-and-death surgery, prominent Israeli doctors labored to save Amiel’s life, in spite of the many deadly bomb fragments which had torn into his body. Because of the fiery blast, Amiel’s face and chest were severely burned. His neck, throat and face were seriously injured by the many pieces of jagged metal; some still dangerously lodging in one of his eyes. Numerous nerves and tendons in his arms were severed; including many deep lacerations to his arms and legs, regretfully causing a few toes to be amputated. Many deadly pieces penetrated into his chest and abdomen causing severe injures to his organs and leaving doctors to struggle to save one of Amiel's collapsed lungs. David and Leah bravely shared amid tears of grief and relief at the wonder of Amiel's spared life. Following the critical surgery, the doctors were amazed to see Amiel still alive and regaining strength. To survive such a powerful 'point-blank' blast of deadly shrapnel was clearly recognized as a true miracle by these doctors who have become more than familiar with the effects of terrorism! Returning to his home for the first time since the blast, David was shocked to see the extensive damage to his apartment. Jagged fragments of metal penetrated the refrigerator and metal stairway. Even the stone table which had held the deadly gift was shattered along with their kitchen, living room and furniture. Their apartment is on the 3rd floor and the blast was so severe that the windows on a car parked on the street below were blown out as a result. David and Leah now remain deeply touched at the awesome miracle which shielded their dear son from certain death, knowing that such a blast would have fatally injured many of their family had they all been home at the time! Should you wish to personally contribute to this family's increasing financial medical burden, please donate below. All donations to JewishEyes.org which are meant to go to this family will be designated: "The David and Leah Ortiz Family"
How much will these victims receive? We send the amount that you give, less the costs of any third party credit card processing (around 4%). No JewishEyes.org administrative costs are deducted or received by us. For example, on a donation of $25.00, a processing fee of $1.03 is absorbed by PayPal. $23.97 is sent to the family. We do not keep any of your donation.
