"Places We Will Not Visit"

There are a couple of reasons why visiting most traditional Christian sites is not on our itinerary, (the exception will be if the site has Jewish significance also).  One reason is that most Christian sites are simply guesses as to their locations, named what they are by the mother of the Roman Emperor Constantine, hundreds of years after the fact.  A second reason is that those sites are typically owned by Christian organizations who have transformed them into far more modern buildings, shrines, churches, etc. and bear absolutely no resemblance to anything historic of the time which they are trying to represent.
